2018 House League Registration

Terms and Conditions

A registration is not considered final and accepted until the registration fee is paid in full. Registration payments can be made by cash, cheque, VISA, Mastercard, or e-transfer to administrator@baseballburlington.com. (See also NSF Cheques and Refund Requests)

There are three levels of fees. Please read carefully to understand your choices.

The Early Bird fee level expires January 31st.

  • Payment in full must be made by that date to qualify for this level of Registration Fee
  • Qualification for Early Bird discount is dependant on full payment of registration fee not the date registered.

The Standard fee level expires February 28th.

  • Payment in full must be made by that date to qualify for this level of Registration Fee.

Late fee level expires March 31st

  • Your child may be put on a waiting list and BOMBA will do their very best to place your child on a team.
  • The late fee will apply if your child is placed on a team.
  • If your child cannot be placed on a team any fees paid will be refunded.

Historically BOMBA has tried to meet the individual requests of players to be on the same team as their friends or to have a specific coach. Our registrants, or the parents of our registrants, have expressed that they place a much greater value on team / division balance and consequently BOMBA WILL NOT attempt to meet individual player requests above the entry levels (Junior T-Ball, Senior T-Ball, and Junior Coach Pitch). Coaches / Managers will still be assured of having their child on the team they coach/manage.

If for any reason you choose to withdraw your child from registration prior to the season commencement there will be a $40 processing fee subtracted from your refund. Any refund requested after season commencement will have a $40 processing fee deducted and 50% of the registration fee will be withheld to cover the costs incurred for uniforms, equipment, diamonds, umpires etc.  Season commencement is considered once players have been assigned to a team.

BOMBA will charge a $40 administration fee for NSF cheques. If a cheque is rejected at any time, the child is not considered registered until payment is received by BOMBA.

Due to many factors BOMBA cannot guarantee the number of games your child will play in a season and in the playoffs. Factors such as weather, diamond availability, number of registrants, umpire availability, holidays, or any other unforeseen issues such as power failure cutting off night lighting will all impact the number of games we can achieve. BOMBA will guarantee a minimum of 15 season games and a minimum of 2 playoff games (at levels participating in playoffs) for every team.

At the levels of Jr. and Sr. T-Ball, Jr. Coach Pitch, Sr. Coach Pitch, Rookie Ball, Mosquito and Peewee all teams will be scheduled to play two nights a week on the same nights weekly:

  • Junior T-Ball and Senior T-Ball will play on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:15pm, occasional Friday night games, and no weekend practices.
  • Junior Coach Pitch will play on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:15pm, occasional Friday night game, and no weekend practices.
  • Senior Coach Pitch will play on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:15pm, occasional Friday night game, with weekend practices.
  • Rookie Ball will play on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:15pm, occasional Friday night games, with weekend practices.
  • Mosquito will play on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:15pm, occasional Friday night games, with weekend practices
  • Pee Wee will play on Tuesday and Thursdays at 6:15pm, occasional Friday night games, with weekend practices

At the levels of Bantam and Midget, the goal is to also play two nights a week, but the nights played will be any two nights, Monday through Thursday night and possibly Friday nights (at 6:15pm or 8:30pm approx.), and will most likely change every week. At these levels the teams play an interlocking schedule with numerous other communities and we are at the mercy of their diamond availability times as well as our own.

SEASON START AND FINISH DATES - Entry Levels (Jr. T-Ball; Sr. T-Ball; Jr. Coach Pitch)

It is BOMBA’s goal to start our entry level season play in the week following the Victoria Day long weekend in May and finish with Fun Day on the 2nd last Saturday in July.

SEASON START AND FINISH DATES - (Sr. Coach Pitch, Rookie Ball, Mosquito, Peewee, Bantam, Midget)

It is BOMBA’s goal to start our season play in the second or third week of May and finish before the end of July. Playoffs will start in the first week of August and will finish on Championship Day which is tentatively scheduled on the second Saturday of August.

Parents/Guardians are responsible to ensure that a player is in good health and has sufficient medical coverage, over and above the minimal insurance provided to the Association.

Parents/Guardians are responsible to purchase and ensure that the player wears the appropriate protective gear (i.e. jock or jill), when participating in all athletic events.

At all levels of House League play athletic running shoes are acceptable. If the registrant chooses to wear baseball shoes metal cleats are not allowed until the level of Bantam.

Baseball gloves for all players are the responsibility of the Parent / Guardian to supply. Catcher’s Equipment will be supplied by BOMBA, one to a team.
