Baseball is Back Weekend & Food Drive
Feb 8, 2016, 5:54 pm

FIRST ANNUAL BOMBA FOOD DRIVE!!!!

My Name is Peter Maj and I am the Head Coach of the Bulls Mosquito A team, and the Coordinator of Bomba’s First Annual Food Drive, “Batting Out Hunger”

Did you know that Burlington has MANY families that rely on the Salvation Army food bank each week? They provide a wonderful service for those less fortunate than we are. The summer months see their shelves run quite empty and they have a huge need for donations, this is where Bomba is going to help!

This year, at Baseball is back weekend, specifically Saturday May 7th, The Salvation Army will have a truck at each park collecting Food Donations throughout the day. We will be challenging all players, Rep and House league to try and raise 50lbs, or more, of nonperishable food items each.  Whether you play Friday, Saturday or Sunday, we will ask that food is brought to the parks on the Saturday.

As we get closer, I will provide you with additional information, and even some canvassing sheets the players can use to canvas their neighbors.

Regards,

Peter Maj
