BOMBA Police Clearance Night

April 9, 2014!   

All BOMBA Coaches and Assistant Coaches must have a valid Police clearance to coach a BOMBA team (clearance must be less than 2 years old). If you wish to coach and require a police clearance, BOMBA will be holding a Police Clearance Night on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at the BOMBA office. You must bring two pieces of government issued ID (at least one must have photo).

Burlington Bears Rookie Ball

Burlington Bears Select Baseball is pleased to announce Samantha Magalas as Head Coach for Rookie Ball in 2014.
Samantha has been a member of the Women’s National Team since 2004. She has earned three
World Cup medals and
is a Provincial Coach Certified under the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP). She is currently a coach with the Canadian Women’s National Team. Samantha has been providing development to BOMBA athletes for the past two years as a Blue Jays Baseball Academy instructor.

BOMBA is excited to welcome Sam - a BOMBA Alumnus - back to the program!


New Hitting Clinics - Now available!

HITTING CLINICS WITH COREY BIGRAS

Corey has a long history in the game of baseball. Corey was a factory hitter for Miken/Worth Baseball and is one of the leading hitting instructors in Canada. The clinic will work on hitting fundamentals regarding mechanics and strategy.

Monday April 14th, 21st and 28th in the Bullpen (Burloak Sports Centre)

6pm to 7 pm - Rookie Ball to Major Mosquito (NOW FULL)

7pm to 8 pm - Minor Peewee to Midget (NOW FULL)

Sessions are only $15 each, or book at 3 sessions for $40.

JUNIOR BULLS READY FOR A BUSY 2014

The Burlington Bulls Junior team has plenty of opportunity to show what they are capable of heading into the 2014 season. Jason McKay, the returning Manager of the Bulls, has entered in no less than 7 tournaments prior to the Provincial Eliminations (hosted by BOMBA once again) over the August long weekend. The Bulls play their home games every Monday night at Nelson Park game times are 7pm, so go out to watch and support this area’s top talent in the Junior age group (18-20). Blue Jays Instructional Clinic - June 14th, 2014

As a part of the 2014 season, the Toronto Blue Jays and BOMBA will be running an Instructional Clinic in Burlington, presented by Honda.

Qualified Blue Jays instructors will focus on teaching baseball players 8 to 14 years of age the fundamental skills of baseball in a fun and structured atmosphere. Each clinic will be four hours in length with the players being grouped by age.

During the clinic each group will rotate through stations that will deal with skills such as: hitting, throwing, fielding, pitching, and baserunning. We also invite coaches to come on to the field to observe and ask our Instructors questions.

BOMBA will host an Instructional Clinic on Saturday June 14th at Ireland Park from 3pm - 7pm.

The Blue Jays Instructional Clinic fee is only $45 per player. Registration will open SOON at the Baseball Academy at http://toronto.bluejays.mlb.com/tor/baseball_academy/honda_instructional_clinics.

Each clinic attendee should bring their glove, bat, and helmet along with a small lunch.
