The Brian Jordan Foundation
Apr 27, 2012, 2:36 pm

We are thrilled to announce that retired Major League Baseball player Brian Jordan will be stopping by the BOMBA Office on Thursday, May 3rd from 6pm-7:30pm for a meet and greet to thank us for our years of donations to his kids foundation.   www.brianjordanfoundation.com

As a professional athlete most known for building a multi-sport legacy, Brian Jordan is clearly a man of many talents. Sports enthusiasts have long been aware of his athletic skills, as he has been an All-Star player with the Atlanta Braves and an All-Pro selection with the Atlanta Falcons. For almost 20 years, Jordan has helped make sports history, as a leader on both the baseball and football fields. Being a two-sport professional athlete is an uncommon accurrence in professional sports, the Baltimore native has contributed more to Atlanta than just home runs and bone-jarring tackles.

If children have no place to go, no one to care for them and no philosophy to model themselves after, they may travel down the wrong path.  My dream is to give young people positive alternatives by creating programs and building places where they can develop to their full potential. Help me to help our future!

The Burlington Bulls Tier 1 Rookieball Team won the 2011 AA Rookieball Provincial Championship in impressive fashion in Whitby over the Labour Day Weekend. The Bulls swept away the opposition going 6-0 over three days culminating with a 12-8 victory over the Clarington Orioles in the Championship Final.

The OBA Championship completes a remarkable season for the Bulls as they compiled a 40-9 won/lost record. Along the way the Team participated in 6 Tournaments, winning 4-OBA, COBA, St.Catherines, and Bolton, and being a Finalist in Hamilton.

On June 15 the Team lost a league game to Brampton which put the Teams record at 11-6. After that and over the next 2 and a half months covering 32 ballgames the Bulls amassed a record of 29 wins and 3 losses. The 3 losses were two league losses of one run each and the Hamilton Final.

They ended their incredible season with a 16 game win streak and an OBA Championship Ring. Congratulation Bulls you have done Burlington and BOMBA proud.
