Minor Mosquito AAA-AA Tournament
Jun 28, 2011, 10:59 pm

BOMBA Minor Mosquito - AAA-AA Tournament

What a great weekend hosted by the AA and AAA Minor Mosquito group!  The weather held up and not a game delayed or missed.  A fantastic weekend of baseball for these young ball players, with a great group of neighbouring teams joining us at Ireland Park and Brant Hills.

A big thank you to Linda and her parent group for the outstanding job at convening the weekend event.  The organized approach allowed created a great environment; the scores and standings were clearly posted, registration tables were clearly marked, umpires were treated well to water as needed, bbq treats and refreshments were available for purchase, MVP awards were handed out at each game, finalist and champion awards given for A, AA and AAA level,  and there were many volunteers circulating to answer any questions or help with any concerns.

Nancy did a great job of ensuring the umpires were at the diamonds, as well as being on hand and at the parks all weekend for any issues or questions as they came up.
The final results were as follows:
AAA Division
North York defeated Vaughan
AA Division
Georgetown1 defeated Burlington AAA
A Division
Georgetown 2 defeated Oakville
50 / 50 Draw
The lucky 50/50 draw winning number is 698513
Stay tuned and check back for some great pics of the weekend event!
