Game Curfews
The following Curfews will apply to all BOMBA games scheduled. Curfews vary based on the level of ball (House League, Select, Rep) and whether the game is placed on a Diamond which has functioning lights. A further two Curfew Amendments are noted at the bottom for 8:30 starts and games played at any park with Lights.
HOUSE LEAGUE CURFEW
Parks without Lights (Scheduled 6:15pm Starts)
1. Games start at 6:15pm
2. No New Inning after 2 Hours (8:15pm)
3. Dead Ball at 2 Hours 15 Minutes (8:30pm)
Parks with Lights (Scheduled 6:15pm Starts)
1. Games start at 6:15pm
2. No New Inning after 2 Hours (8:15pm)
3. Dead Ball at 2 Hours 10 Minutes (8:25pm)
Parks with Lights (Scheduled 8:30pm Starts)
1. Games start at 8:30pm
2. No New Inning after 2 Hours (10:30pm)
3. Dead Ball at 2 Hours 15 Minutes (10:45pm)
REP & SELET CURFEW RULES
7 Inning Games (Whether Lights or No Lights)
1. No New Inning After 2 Hours
2. Dead Ball After 2 Hours 15 Minutes
9 Inning Games (Whether Lights or No Lights)
1. No New Inning After 3 Hours
2. Dead Ball After 3 Hours 15 Minutes
CITY SPECIFIC CURFEW
On any City of Burlington Diamond with Lights, No Pitch Shall be Thrown After 10:55pm regardless of Game Start Time.
BOMBA 8:30 SCHEDULED STARTS
The following is a rule modification for any 8:30pm Schedule Starts and is applicable to House League, Select and Rep Divisions.
Current Rule: “Game curfews shall be from the Scheduled Start Time”
Modification: “Where an 8:30pm Schedule Start time utilizes the same umpire(s) from a 6:15 scheduled game, the umpires shall be provided time to change equipment and/or fields prior to the 8:30 scheduled start. The new official start time shall be revised and announced at the Plate Meeting by the Plate Umpire. A game should not start later than 8:40pm to ensure the City Specific Curfew is complied with."
