2024 Umpire Pay Rates

 

 

- 1 Hour or more before Game. - No Payment

- 1 Hour or less before Game - 50% Game Fee

- At or After Plate Meeting - Full Game Fee

 

 

- Umpires attend game and no teams present - Full Game Fee

 

 

- 1.5 times the Game Fee. Additional amount paid via adjustment in payment system. 

- Umpires working along must notify the UIC and Scheduler after the game that they were alone.

 

 

- In other cases which are not covered by the above situations, a decision will be made by the Umpire-In-Chief in consultation with the Umpire Scheduler and BOMBA President. 

 

Games may be cancelled by the scheduler via email or by deletion of the game assignment from the system or by phone. Umpires are responsible for checking the schedule within the prescribed times. Should the city close the facilities and provide notification, this will be considered adequate notice whether BOMBA has communicated or not. Umpires are recommended to sign up for the City of Burlington closure notices. BOMBA is not responsible for game fees should there be a failure or delay in the scheduling system or individual umpires receiving the email notification. 

 

Umpires who cancel their game assignments less than 24 hours prior to game time without a valid reason may be subject to discipline. This discipline could include any of: a verbal or written warning, fine of game fees or suspension of the official.”
