Releases

Players residing in Burlington and interested in trying out with another organization must follow BOMBA and COBA release policies.

8U to 11U

Release requests must be sent to: rep@baseballburlington.com
A release will only be provided after a player has been released from all Burlington tryout levels (AAA, AA, A, DS, where applicable)
If a player is offered a spot on any Bulls team, a release will not be granted
Coaches cannot issue releases. Requests must go through the Rep Director
Burlington residents cannot try out for another association without a release, regardless of current team status

Non-COBA Teams (i.e. Hamilton)

OBA HPP teams (new 2027) for ages 12U to 18U

A release is not required to attend declared HPP or EBLO team tryouts

12U & 13U - non OBA HPP teams

Players not attending Burlington tryouts and planning to try out with another COBA organization must request a release from BOMBA
A release will be provided upon request

COBA Policy

COBA allows players in certain age groups to try out for other COBA teams without a release.

If a player receives an offer from another COBA team, BOMBA will provide a release
Permitted age groups may change, refer to the COBA website for current details

Important Notes

Burlington residents trying out for non-COBA organizations (ie, Hamilton) require a release from both BOMBA and COBA (excluding EBLO, 12U HPP, 13UHPP and 14UHPP)
