Looking to try out in another city?
Please see below for consolidated information on BOMBA's and COBA's Release policy. Our full policy can be found here
8U to 11U
Release requests must be sent to rep@baseballburlington.com
A release will only be provided once a player has been released from tryouts for all levels (AAA, AA, A, DS, whichever applies). If you want to tryout in a non-COBA city (Hamilton, for example), you require a release from BOMBA and from COBA.
If a player is offered a spot on a Bulls team (regardless of level) , a release will not be provided.
Coaches cannot provide a release and must direct the player to the Rep Director.
Burlington residents are prohibited from trying out for another Association without a release (regardless of whether or not the player is currently on a Burlington Rep or Dedicated Select team).
12U & 13U
BOMBA will provide a release to any player who is not attending tryouts for a Burlington team for the following season and wishes to try out for another COBA team.
COBA Policy
COBA Policy COBA allows players at specific age groups to tryout for other COBA teams without a release. If a player provides evidence that they have been offered a spot on a COBA team, BOMBA will provide a release. Please check the COBA website for permitted age groups as it may change year over year.
