Releases
Players residing in Burlington and interested in trying out with another organization must follow BOMBA and COBA release policies.
8U to 11U
- Release requests must be sent to: rep@baseballburlington.com
- A release will only be provided after a player has been released from all Burlington tryout levels (AAA, AA, A, DS, where applicable)
- If a player is offered a spot on any Bulls team, a release will not be granted
- Coaches cannot issue releases. Requests must go through the Rep Director
- Burlington residents cannot try out for another association without a release, regardless of current team status
Non-COBA Teams (i.e. Hamilton)
- A release is required from both BOMBA and COBA to try out in a non-COBA city.
OBA HPP teams for ages 12U to 18U (new 2027)
A release is not required to attend declared HPP or EBLO team tryouts
12U & 13U (excluding HPP)
- Players who do not register for HPP or Rep tryouts and wish to try out with another COBA organization must request a release from BOMBA
- A release will be provided upon request
OR
- A release will only be provided after a player has been released from all Burlington tryout levels (AA, A, DS, where applicable)
- A release is not provided to a player who tries out for HPP and is not offered a spot. It is expected these players try out for the other Burlington teams in their age group.
COBA Policy
COBA allows players in certain age groups to try out for other COBA teams without a release.
- If a player receives an offer from another COBA team, BOMBA will provide a release
- Permitted age groups may change, refer to the COBA website for current details

Important Notes
- Burlington residents trying out for non-COBA organizations (ie, Hamilton) require a release from both BOMBA and COBA (excludes HPP and EBLO)
